The 3rd annual "A Taste of Diamond Point" was a huge success!

The 4th annual "A Taste of Diamond Point" is planned
for
Saturday, July 23, 2011 from noon to 2 pm
*
History of the event:
Once a year the members
of the inter-denominational Diamond Point Community Church hold a fund raising event on the church grounds to raise money
for repairs and maintenance to the 133-year-old house of worship.
In 2008 the congregation
sponsored the inaugural "A Taste of Diamond Point". Several Lake Shore Drive restaurants and delicatessens volunteered
their time and provided us with samples of their cuisine. Church members sold tickets for one dollar each which could be redeemed
for "a taste" during the two hours of the event.
In addition to selling food samples,
we also had a raffle drawing every 5-10 minutes for various items donated by local businesses and individuals. All money raised
at the event went for the support of the church.
This year, the event was held from noon
to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th. It included live music performed by Ray Alexander, Matt Finley, Denise Jordan Finley, and
Daniel Pagdon. Children enjoyed a variety of carnival-style games.
